«Océan & Ciel» takes place in an empty family home. The artworks in this exhibition are proxies of adoration scattered throughout the site, displayed only in natural light. Like the lover’s eyes that were popular in England in the early 19th century, they do not just depict something but attempt to become that something themselves. Ocean and sky are always together but, even if it at times it seems as if they are one, they will never reach each other.

Marinka Limat - Ongoing performance
On Saturday the 15 of June, Marinka Limat will beperforming, supported by her colleague Fabian Stücheli, throughout the day atthe site of the “Océan & Ciel” exhibition. She will use materials that havebeen left in the house by its previous owners, to build new pieces offurniture. The furniture will then form a fluid resting place for visitors toencounter each other during the exhibition.

Myvideo, performance and plastic work is part of an exploration of therelationship between humans and nature. Driven by social, political andspiritual research, how does our view of nature open us up to an introspectivedimension?

Forthis acoustic set, Béatrice will use everyday objects made of wood, metal, plastic,wire or springs as sound sources. This performance is a sound circus, just astheater can be musical. It is also a theater of objects. Corrugated cardboardfrom the post office, circular saw blades, suitcases, lamp stands, cans, dogtoys, balloons, carpet tapes, bottles, chairs, children's toys, plastic bagsand rubber bands: everything is sound, everything is music.

MinReCuliao – Just fluting around - Ongoingperformance
I had started to disintegrate into thin air, darkness,death and suddenly this flute found me, how to cope, how to regenerate, how to“train” to feel alive, to become the human animal, harvest energy through theBreath. Traditional instruments with a mind from another time, posture, placewithin this physical world, words, songs, play, body scrambling, body scanning,mind, self, you, them, who else? What else? A form of prayer, a ritual, adance, we go into “challenges”, fall in trance, to leave and come back with thewords of now, this is an invitation, take the hand or lay on ground, sit andwait or follow, questions upon questions, the end goal is togetherness, roots,birds & love through it all.

Around the themes surrounding the exhibition, weinvite the public and our friends and future friends to come share lectures outloud in the garden during the afternoon. This will be an opportunity to talkand share about unconditional love, the objects we personify to represent theseloves, and the material that binds the ocean and the sky together. We couldalso imagine the lives of the people who once inhabited a house or imagine itsfuture occupation.
